When I first tried to get my cat to sleep in the bed, she jumped right out and avoided it like the plague.I realized that this was just a case of education.She didn't know that it was nice and warm.Here's what I did to get her to love it.
- First, I put it a little higher up.Cats like being high and not on the ground.
- When she was sleeping on the couch, I picked her up (still in a ball) and plunked her down into the bed.I kept petting her for a minute and then let go.She stayed.
- I only needed to do that once.Now it's her preferred spot.
