I purchased this kitchen for my son's 4th birthday and he loves it! I read the reviews on it and I agree that it is a bit of a challenge to put together (and I love assembling things) it took me about 1 1/2 hours, with the help of my 8 year old. It is very well made, sturdy, and heavy!I only have two concerns and they haven't been an issue yet, first is that the faucet and handles are plastic and seem like they could break if the child isn't being "gentle".
Second, the screws that are used to attach the door hinges to the unit are quite small so if you have a kid who hangs on cupboard doors, it seems like these could rip out fairly easily.
Because of these observations, I have cautioned my son to be gentle with the kitchen so that he doesn't break it and we haven't had a problem yet. He did, however, find the electric screwdriver and unscrewed all the doors and oven "glass".
We are all very pleased with this purchase!!
